Biography
Terry Dyer
Consultant, Author & Activist
I'm a passionate leader who’s spent my career bridging the worlds of corporate and nonprofit work—bringing strategy, vision, and heart to everything I do. Since 2007, I’ve proudly used my voice to advocate for the LGBTQ+ community, and in 2010, I was honored to be named POZ Health Magazine’s “African-American Person of the Month.”
Before all that, I was a Star Search contestant (yes, really!) and earned degrees in Vocal Performance and Communications—proof that creativity and connection have always been part of my path. In 2020, I published my best-selling memoir, Letters to a GAY BLACK BOY, a deeply personal exploration of racism, inequality, and love. That book—and the work that’s followed—has opened doors to awards, recognition, and even a feature in an Emmy award-winning documentary.
At the core of it all, I believe in using every platform I have to uplift, educate, and spark change.
